shittywebcomics: The greatest irony of David Willis’ dogmatic approaches to his viewpoint is how similar they are to the described “zealotry” of his Catholic household. They say that the apple never falls far from the tree, and it’s completely correct in this regard, except that instead of an apple tree springing up it is a craggly, useless tree that just hogs sunlight and doesn’t serve any purpose other than to annoy. Instead of forsaking the perceived closed-mindedness of his prior upbringing by opening his mind and treating other human beings like fucking human beings with a wide array of opinions, he has instead exchanged one God for another and found a whole new group of people to attack or condescend to. Consider the comic where he refused to draw what he believed to be a racist Asian stereotype. He was so afraid of being offensive and racist that he makes it clear that it was a racist stereotype of Asians, despite the fact that, being Asian myself, I never really saw it that way (even if I didn’t it’s a game from 20 years ago, what am I gonna get all pissy now about a game that came out when I was ten? Get real). However, Willis refuses to believe that any group of people who share similar traits would NOT be offended by such a glaring insult to said trait, and if any from said group contradicts him (like I have, multiple times in the past before I stopped reading his drivel), he froths at the mouth and jumps into a rage about how I “shouldn’t speak for everyone in my group” because it’s somehow “offensive.” What he doesn’t realize is that he’s doing the EXACT SAME THING, except he is now taking on the role of white patriarch, telling us what we should think, and believing us to be too weak to think and act for ourselves. Never mind that Asian people can be murdered for little to no reason (see: Vincent Chin); he’ll never really care about that - because he doesn’t care about equality, only being right. To him, we are nothing more than tools to show off his righteous appearance so he can continue spouting his sanctimonious bullshit. At this point I honestly prefer the conservative right - they may be racist and ignorant, but at the very least they can respect my actions and achievement as an individual, if not my opinions - google “Newt Gingrich Asians” and you’ll find the reports of him recognizing the hard work lots of Asian Americans do to become successful in this country, whereas any liberal left media considers Asian people “basically white” until they fit into the EVIL WHITE RACISM narrative they want to use as a weapon. I hate Newt Gingrich but even I have to give credit where it is due. If given the choice between two racists, one who’s an asshole who gives me begrudging respect and the other who’s a bitch in sheep’s clothing who tells me I should be coddled until a certain point at which I become unpleasant to their narrative, after which they will throw me to the wolves, I will choose the former, every time. I can work with the former. The latter is a scum sucking hypocrite. Replace that with women, or black people, or whatever minority group you have, and you have Willis. You have his ridiculous “white man should decide what minorities think” sack of horseshit the liberal left have been feeding to the masses for decades now under the guise of equality and fairness. The image above just shows how similar he is to religious zealots like door-to-door Jehovah’s Witnesses or, hell, even the Westboro Baptist Church. This zealotry is so ingrained into his personality and mind that he is no different from those jackals. He cannot comprehend the possibility that he might be wrong or flawed, so he flies into a rage , behaves abhorrently, and screams obscenities whenever his worldview is challenged and he cannot come up with a logical, acceptable refutation of the challenge. In short, Willis is the biggest fucking racist, sexist piece of trash I have ever seen in my life. That he has the gall to pontificate and prop himself up as some sort of fearless freedom fighter is the most insulting thing I’ve ever seen in my 30 years on this planet. Minorities like me don’t need turd burglars like him speaking for us; we do just fine for ourselves.
